Dr. Eugene Miller

Dr. Miller's distinguished career spans five decades. He began
his career as a reporter and later became an associate managing
editor at Business Week. He has held top positions at USG (United
States Gypsum) Corporation, CNA Financial Corporation, the New
York Stock Exchange and McGraw-Hill, Inc. He is currently adjunct
professor at the College of Business at Florida Atlantic University.
Dr.
Miller serves as director for MFRI (NASDAQ), IMX Pharmaceuticals,
Tutor Time Learning Systems and the Boca Raton Preparatory School.
He is a member of the advisory board of the Commtel Group and
NFC Acquisition Partners. He is a past director at Coleman Cable
Systems, Exchange National Bank (NASDAQ), Ideon Group, Inc.
(NYSE), Nationwide Acceptance Corporation, Mercantile Systems,
Inc., POG Publishing Co., Rodman and Renshaw, Inc. (NYSE), TeleTech
Holding Corp. (NASDAQ) and USG Corporation (NYSE).
The
author of several books and over 1,000 articles in national
and business publications, including a syndicated business column,
Dr. Miller has received numerous honors and awards. He has been
listed in Who's Who in America for 37 years and received
"Outstanding Alumni" awards from the Columbia School
of Journalism. Dr. Miller received the National Association
of Investment Clubs Award for Distinguished Service to Individual
Investors. He has been an executive-in-residence at the universities
of Illinois, Wisconsin, Toronto and Wyoming and has taught at
New York University, Fordham University, Bethany College and
Northeastern Illinois University.
Dr.
Miller received a diploma from Oxford University in England
in 1947, an MS from the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia
University in 1948, an MBA from the Graduate School of Business
Administration at New York University in 1959 and an honorary
LLD from Bethany College in 1969.
Charles Parselle

A law graduate of Oxford University's Honor School of Jurisprudence, and a member of the Bars of both England and California,
Charles Parselle writes and teaches extensively on alternative dispute resolution and is a chief legal editor for GotTrouble.com.
He is also a co-founder of CEDRS - Centers for Excellence in Dispute Resolution.
Mr. Parselle was called to the English bar in 1966 and admitted to the California bar in 1983. Mr. Parselle has served as general counsel to multi-national organizations and has worked on constitutional issues, contracts, intellectual property, taxation, tort and employment law. Mr. Parselle has been general counsel to an Australian company specializing in the sale of high-tech security equipment, and as general counsel to an entertainment company in Los Angeles, California, concentrating on intellectual property and employment issues.
Mr. Parselle's travels have taken him to most of the countries of Europe and Africa, as well as living for several years in Australia, and journeying to China, Hong-Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan and India. He was born in Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe, in southern Africa.
He teaches mediation for the renowned Institute of Conflict Management based in Los Angeles.
Richard Chernick

A former editorial board member for The California Lawyer,
Mr. Chernick has written several books and numerous articles
about the legal profession. He is a Judge Pro Tem with the Los
Angeles Superior and Municipal courts and a panelist on JASOP
- judicial arbitration mediation programs in Los Angeles and
Ventura counties. Mr. Chernick is a consultant to the Los Angeles
Superior Court Dispute Resolution Program. He was a senior partner
of the law firm Gibson, Dunn and Crutcher LLP and is a past
president of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Mr. Chernick
has served as chair of the Arbitration Committee of the American
Bar Association and was a founder of the Dispute Resolution
Section of the Los Angeles County Bar, founding chair of the
ADR Committee of the State Bar, and chairman of the Trial Lawyers
Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Mr. Chernick's
honors include "Peacemaker of the Year", given by
the Southern California Mediation Association, the "Presidential
Award" from the Los Angeles Trial Lawyers Association,
the "Distinguished Service Award" from the American
Arbitration Association and the "Legal Services Leadership
Award" from the Western Center on Law and Poverty. He is
founder and former president of the Coalition for Justice and
former president of the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles.
He received a Juris Doctorate in 1970 from the University of
Southern California, Order of the Coif.
Harry Ruffalo

Mr. Ruffalo, an attorney and certified accountant, earned his
business degree and Juris Doctorate at the University of Wisconsin.
The author of The Business of Practicing Law,
he has spent the last 33 years with the global firm of Arthur
Andersen. From 1984-1989, he managed 400 tax professionals (more
than 70% of them lawyers) as the senior and chief partner of
Arthur Andersen's Chicago tax practice. In 1989, he was named
the head of Arthur Andersen Worldwide in its Tax, Legal and
Business Practice of 12,000 professionals, serving clients in
95 counties. Harry Ruffalo, an adjunct professor of law, has
taught "The Business of Law" at the University of
Wisconsin since 1993.
