A native of Harnett County in central North Carolina, I was educated at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in North Carolina in 1973. I spent the first twenty-three years as a partner of a local firm founded in 1956. The firm grew to four partners with me as the managing partner. In 1996, I separated from this firm to form my own firm of Russell W. Bradley, CPA. I have a broad range of training and experience in accounting, tax and business in general. As twice past president of the local Chamber of Commerce, I have been closely involved in the operations of local businesses and have observed their interactions within the local community. For ten years, I have provided accounting, tax and consulting services to a multi-national wholesale distributor and have worked closely with corporate executives in other countries. I enjoy working with small to medium-size businesses, especially start-up businesses and with individual taxpayers.
