Missing child after a divorce

In a missing child situation, must the pay or spouse continuing paying child support after a divorce if the custodial parent moves away with the child and the pay or does not know their whereabouts?

In family law this is a complicated question, and the answer may vary from state to state. It may depend upon whether the pay or made reasonable efforts to locate the missing child, how long the missing child was gone, and whether the payments were to be made to the custodial parent or to a court trustee. But under some circumstances, if the custodial parent conceals both him/herself and the child, the pay or might be able to avoid paying accrued amounts of child support.
