Got lease troubles?
A "lease" is a written contract that binds both the landlord and the tenant
for a specific period of time, such as six months, a year, or 5 years.
A "rental agreement" is a month-to-month (or sometimes week-to-week) contract
- either oral or written - that either party may terminate by giving notice
at least as long as the rental period.
